On April 17th, Sanya Joy City foreign currency exchange service area was opened, which is also the first foreign currency exchange machine in shopping centers in our province.

It is understood that the foreign currency exchange service area is jointly built by Sanya Joy City and China Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Sanya Branch. The foreign currency exchange machine in the area supports cash exchange of nine common denominations of foreign currencies, namely, British pound, Hong Kong dollar, US dollar, Singapore dollar, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, euro and New Zealand dollar, with a daily single exchange quota of 5,000 yuan.

The foreign currency exchange machine takes "convenience, safety and efficiency" as the design core, and integrates ICBC’s global clearing network and dynamic risk control system. Overseas tourists can quickly complete the cash foreign currency exchange operation of common denominations with their passports, and the system is directly connected to the real-time exchange rate, which greatly improves the efficiency compared with traditional outlets.

It is worth mentioning that the service area has also set up a foreign currency deposit and withdrawal machine, which supports foreign cards such as VISA and MasterCard to directly withdraw RMB cash, with a maximum limit of RMB 20,000 on that day, fully covering the diversified consumption scenarios of tourists.

It is reported that Sanya Joy City has accounted for nearly 20% of foreign card consumption since its opening. The landing of foreign currency exchange machine will effectively activate the instant consumption power of overseas tourists, and also fill the gap of "cash-on-demand" financial services in Sanya’s tourism consumption scene.
