In order to adapt to the new situation, changes and new demands of network communication, further consolidate the foundation of network communication order management and enrich the supply of Internet news information, according to the Regulations on the Administration of Internet News Information Services, the National Network Information Office organized the 2016 edition of the List of Internet News Information Contributors. On October 20th, the National Network Information Office publicly released the latest version of the List of Internet News Information Contributing Units, which covers 1,358 contributing units including central news websites, central news units, industry media, local news websites, local news units and government affairs publishing platforms. The 2016 edition of "List of Internet News Information Contributing Units" was also invalidated.

According to the spokesperson of the National Network Information Office, the CPC Central Committee with the Supreme Leader as the core attaches great importance to the construction of Internet content, and the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has made important arrangements for strengthening the construction of Internet content. The General Secretary of the Supreme Leader emphasized that "positive energy is the general requirement, management is the last word, and good use is the real skill", which provides a fundamental basis for the construction of Internet content. The National Network Information Office thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the important instructions of the important speech of the Supreme Leader General Secretary and the decision-making arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, took the management of Internet news information manuscript sources as an important starting point to strengthen the construction of Internet content and standardize the order of network communication, vigorously opened the "front door", accelerated the expansion and quality improvement of compliant manuscript sources, further enriched the supply of online information content, and provided "flowing water from the source" for making it bigger and stronger. At the same time, resolutely close the "back door", strictly control outstanding problems such as illegal self-mining and illegal reprinting, and tighten the "master switch" of information dissemination from the source.

To meet the requirements, timely supplement; For manuscript source units that violate laws and regulations and have problems such as information security liability accidents, timely take measures such as freezing and removing, and promote manuscript source units to strengthen their sense of responsibility and control, improve content quality and operational safety, and ensure that the Internet is always full of positive energy and the main theme is high.

According to reports, Internet news information service units with Internet news information editing and publishing service qualifications, newspapers and periodicals, radio stations, television stations, news agencies and news film studios established according to law and other units engaged in news editing and publishing business, and official publishing platforms opened by party and government organs can apply to join the List of Internet News Information Contributing Units. The central news website, the central news unit, and the competent organizer are the publishing platforms of the central and state organs and mass organizations, and submit written application materials to the National Network Information Office; Local news websites, local news organizations, etc. submit written application materials to the local provincial (autonomous regions and municipalities) network information office, and report them to the National Network Information Office for examination and approval according to procedures after examination and approval by the competent department.
